Booking Policies
Booking:
If you wish to reserve a specific date(s) for Samara, they must be booked at least three (3) days in advance to allow her time to prepare, including fresh manicure, pedicure, skin and hair treatment.
A non-refundable booking fee equal to 1/2 of the basic hourly fee (or $200, whichever is less) plus travel expenses will be invoiced and paid via Samara's Paypal at the time of the booking to secure the date(s)
Samara requires a photocopy of the photographer's drivers license or other legal ID be faxed or emailed at the time of booking.
Travel:
If the location is between 50 and 100 mile, one way from Studio City, CA, add $100 for travel, paid at the time of booking. If the location is between 100 and 150 miles, one way from Studio City, CA, add $250 for travel, paid at the time of booking.
Travel in excess of 150 miles requires paid transportation and one night of accommodations at a hotel, arranged and paid in advance of the shoot For international travel: Please inquire with specifics.
Security:
Samara reserves the right to bring a chaperone of her own choice to any shoot. The chaperone will remain onsite, close enough to be available if needed but, at the request of the photographer, need not be in the same room as the photographer and model. Samara respects the need for the model and photographer to establish a rapport, and that the working environment be as free of distractions as possible. She also demands the photographer conduct him or herself with the utmost professionalism and respect for her right to personal safety and security.
Any breach of that respect on the part of any person on the set will result in Samara ending he shoot forthwith, without refund or recourse by the photographer.
Recent tragic occurrences involving freelance models have made personal security a high priority. So for the safety and security of the photographer as well as for Samara, before she goes to any shoot, she must be supplied the following information: The exact location(s) and the times the shoot will begin and end, and the names of all persons who will be present on the set(s).
For her personal security, all of this information will be left with a responsible third party and she will insist on checking in by phone at least once every hour during the shoot, and at the conclusion of the shoot. These measures are taken for the protection and security of all parties concerned.
Right to refuse:
Samara reserves the right to refuse any request to pose or portray any act in a manner she considers to be demeaning to herself or others, or that violates, in her opinion, the basic tenants of decency in either a social or legal sense.
Payment:
Payment of the balance of fees as invoiced, including modeling fee and travel, after any deposits received have been subtracted, are payable before the photo session begins. On the first shoot, all fees are to be paid in cash or certified check, or by credit card to Samara’s Paypal account. At Samara’s option, she may elect to accept a company or personal check on subsequent shoots.
Releases:
Please forward by email, any model releases or other governing documentation regarding the rights and usage of the work product resulting from the photo shoot. If the client or photographer presents no specific documentation, Samara will forward a copy of her release governing the use of images, video,and/or audio work product of the shoot.
Legal Documentation:
Samara will bring with her to the shoot, legal documentation, including a model’s release and USC form 2257
form with appropriate proof of age.
FROM SAMARA:
I know some of my policies may seem excessive, but please understand, a model, any model, but especially those who do adult
oriented work, are contacted very often by persons who are not legitimate professionals and often from persons who are seeking
services other than those of a commercial model.
Many of my contacts come from individuals who's interest in me is far from professional in nature. They treat online model
directories more like a dating service than a professional resource. They have offered to "book" me for a photo shoot that they
actually considered to be a date. They have wasted my time and actually cost me legitimate bookings and that is unacceptable to me.
If you are legitimate, you will not object to these policies. Also know that I will look at your online portfolio with a very critical eye
and check your references, and I will provide you with references on request.
